Red Hot!

My boss, Lee, told me Friday that he was bringing his Firebird in today, but I was skeptical. He's always mentioned that he had one but in the 5 months or so that I've been working here, I have never seen it. Well to confirm yours and my concerns, here are aome pictures of The Legend, The Myth, The Firebird!

Recent Wagon Work

Over this week, we've been getting a lot done with the Ford! Javi and I(torque team) took the time to torque down what is already hooked up in the front suspension.
Today we put on the front shock absorbers, it was a little tricky to get the bottom two bolts to line up so it took some time to bend it around but we finally got them both in.
After the shocks, we connected the sway bar and torqued that down as well.
Finally before the bell rang, we started putting on the backing plate. Unfortunately I stripped one of the screws. The torque specs called for it to be torqued between 25 to 45 ft-lbs, so I was torquing it down to 30 ft-lbs and the one that my hand is on in the picture just snapped. The screw got stuck in there but I'm determined to get it out!

800 HP?!?

This is my co-workers Honda Civic. He's racing it at Honda Day this Saturday at the Atko Raceway.

He ran it on a Dyno a few weeks ago and it was made 806 hp with I believe he said 365lbs of torque.

He brought it to our shop yesterday to align it and do some last minute adjustments on it.

Monster Mini Golf!

Yesterday after a day of hard work, I decided I needed to take some time and enjoy myself, so I went mini golfing! I've never been to a Monster Mini Golf place, but it was pretty insane, here are some pictures of the place!
